Meet the Committee

President

Officers

Chairman
Pam Mcarthur

Hon. Secretary
Georgia Lappin Lawrence

I was one of the founders of the Scottish Siberian Husky Club, and to date have served 14 years in total as Secretary, also initially served as Chairperson.

The club has formed a large part of my life, and has been quite time consuming but enjoyable along the way. The best part has been the forming of lasting friendships and all the fun times with my dogs, at so many diverse events over many years.

Hon. Treasurer
Cathy Batt

Robert Houston

Robert has been a husky owner since 1996.

He’s been an active participant in racing and showing, and hopes to get the hang of either of those activities one day…

Robert joined the committee in 2022, and is currently working on updating the clubs website. He hopes to get the hang of this activity one day too…

The Husky Bug!
15 years ago I was considering being owned by a Siberian Husky. I reached out to the club for guidance support and all things Husky, and after a few years of extensive research into the breed my first Husky joined the family all the while being advised to be careful not to catch The Husky Bug, well! I found out what The Husky Bug was and is!
Over the years 1 became 2, 2 became 3, 3 became 4, and they just kept multiplying! That is The Husky Bug – When you have one and discover how wonderful the breed is you want another and another!
Fast forward to present day I reflect on my journey from the very first day all those years ago I brought home my new puppy and how my pack of huskies has grown, they take me on adventures I never dreamed possible, from showing/working my dogs in harness, and starting out in my judging career.
So! A word of advisement – Be careful not to catch The Husky Bug as it may bring a lifetime of happiness.

Dolores Montgomery

I’ve been a member of the KC since 1992. Born into a family of working gun dogs Germans Shepherds and hounds. 11 BOBs at Crufts with my Finnish Spitz at a time when there were over 90 being shown at each show. Won over 160 CCs. Was chairman of the Alaskan Malamute club. Show manager of the Nordic Open show, specially for Spitz breeds. Been a spitz fanatic since I was 7 years old. Committee member and group steward of Southern Counties Canine Association for many years, until I moved to Scotland. I give CCs in several breeds. Currently Honorary member of Southern Counties and VP of the Finnish Spitz club. I love the working, hound, pastoral and utility breeds. I firmly believe in ‘fit for function’ when it comes to dogs. It could be said that I probably love all dogs and maybe half a dozen people. 🤣😂😉
